After the Orphanage
I know that Sam has been kissing AJ. It's wonderful to see the two of them with that happy first romance glow.
Then at long last, I become an adult too. I celebrate the occasion with the two people I hold most dear.

The Orphanage - Part 6
The next week of my life was misery. I wasn't sleeping well. I wasn't eating well. I was very despondent since Sam left. I only have two friends in this world and who knows when I'll see Blue again.
AJ is here for me, I know that. But she'll leave here long before I do and it's not going to be the same. By the time I'm old enough to move out, they'll have lives of their own. Homes, jobs, families, no time for old friends at all. I can see it now.

The Orphanage - Part 5
AJ is so very pretty. I can appreciate it now that I'm a bit older. Especially now that I've met the other teen girls in town. AJ is by far the best. I know I used to think of her as a sister, however I think it's a good thing that she's not.
Sam dreams of love, I dream of pain. His thoughts are far healthier than mine.

The Orphanage - Part 4
Sam must have seen the look in my eyes when he became a teenager. The first thing he did was reassure me that he was still Blue. He's so much bigger than me now.

The Orphanage - Part 3
The days all flow together after awhile. We go to school, we go home, we do homework, we eat, we sleep and it starts all over again.
We do get tiny snippets of time, stolen moments of fun. And there are the weekends, when we can have some fun. Working our bake stand, going to the local pool, playing with toys or games. I was looking forward to summer holidays, all the kids at school talked about what their plans were. Weeks of just play, no homework and no school. It sounds so wonderful.

The Orphanage - Part 2
My first meal in the Orphanage was less then wonderful. Miss Polly burnt the Mac n Cheese. But it's that or go hungry. I'll take the burnt dinner. Trevor cut in front of me and Sam but I think he was just too hungry to notice the pipsqueaks as he calls us.
Sam told me a secret later. Big rough Theodore wears bunny slippers. I wonder how he got them?

The Orphanage - Part 1
My name is Thomas Leman. I'm an orphan. I don't even remember having parents, I've been at the adoption agency since I can remember. I asked a few times about my parents but every time got a different story. I think they must have left me in a dumpster or something.
Today, I was moved from the agency to an orphanage. This is bad. Very bad. If you end up here, you're old enough that your odds of being adopted are tiny. We all know it. In theory, we can be adopted but in practice, this is my home until I'm old enough to live on my own.
